Remember Great Teachrers On This Teachers Day 2012

In India Guru and Student relationship is most respectable. From eternal tense to till now all Indian see the image of god in Guru. As per the scriptures we see Guru in the form of parents, God and Teacher. I am trying to show some information of great teacher and their students who is always respectable in the Brahmand.
Siva/Vishnu are said to be the first teachers. Veda Vyasa is said to be the first human teacher, who is an incarnation of Vishnu himself. This is the reason his birth day is celebrated in remembrance of Gurus (Vyasa Purnima is called Guru Purnima)

Guru is treated with such high respect, because it is believed that he
Vedvyas
imparts that knowledge which cannot otherwise be gained through merely reading books. In spiritual disciplines this applies more, and here is how the importance of teacher is explained:
"dhyana mulam gurormurtiH puja mulam guroH padam mantra mulam gurorvakyam moksha mulam guroH kripa"
Meaning: Guru's murti/idol/body is the object of meditation, his feet the objects of worship, his words the objects of chanting. All this is because in his grace lies the source of liberation.
Guru is said to be worthy of such respect and unwavering trust of the disciple, since he takes the responsibility for molding the disciple into what he should be. The disciple that follows Guru's word with faith, is supposed to be assured of reaching the goals (sometimes irrespective of the personal merit of the teacher).
Guru Vashishta: is one of the Saptarishis in the seventh, the present Manvantara, Vashista is a manasputra of God Brahma. He had in his possession the divine cow Kamadhenu, and Nandini her child, who could grant anything to their owners. Arundhati is the name of the wife of Vashista. Vashista one of 9 Prajapatis is credited as the chief author of Mandala 7 of the Rigveda. Vashista and his family are glorified in RV 7.33, extolling their role in the Battle of the Ten Kings, making him the only mortal besides Bhava to have a Rigvedic hymn dedicated to him. Another treatise attributed by him is "Vashista Samhita" - a book on Vedic system of electional astrology.
Maharshi Vasishta

When Prabhu Shri Ram Completed their study and returning comeback to Aayodhya then they will take ceremonious leave of the revered guru. On the last day of Ashrama Vasishta said to all Disciple:
It’s the last day of your stay in this hermitage. The knowledge I could import is now complete. On this occasion of leave taking, I initiate you into final wisdom. True knowledge liberates: That is real real learning is that which frees you. Now I free you from all the precepts i gave you. Now the mantra to traverse the path of life is: May the illuminated soul be your guiding life. That is you need not take my precepts with blind faith, use your knowledge and discriminating intellect to decide your own duty and principles. Scriptures decree the three debts man must discharge: Debt to God, to ones ancestors, and teacher debt to god is paid by devotion and worship. When you see God’s image in all living beings all become worthy of worship, this is the true worship of God. This is how you repay your debt to God.
Vasishta Muni

Sacrificing ones happiness to serve the parents is the way to pay our debts to ancestors. As for your dues to me your Guru through your thoughts and action spread joy, beauty and the grace of truth. Establish respect for the creed of humanism root out enemity from hearts and sow love in its place. I will take this vow from you to free you of debt to me. My blessing is always with you. Whenever you think of me, you should find me with you.
The Guru is Brahma, The creator
The Guru is Vishnu, The Preserver
The Guru is Shiva, The Destroyer
The Guru is Verily, Incarnation of the Ultimate Reality
Thus do obeisance to the revered Guru
Ram: After spending so many years in the lap of your love I have only one prayer, Learned mother May the mental of your love be always upon us if we erred unknowingly please forgive us.
Guru Sandipani:
Rishi Sandipani
Sandipani, which means "Sage of Gods", was a guru of Lord Krishna. Sandipani was a rishi/muni/saint of Ujjain. Ujjain known as Avantbad. The Sandipani Muni ashram is located 2 km outside Ujjain, in the Madhya Pradesh India. Sri Krishna, Balarama and Sudama, while staying as students at Guru Sandipani’s residence, learnt every thing in a single lesson. Upon completion of their studies, they persuaded the teacher to ask for the preceptor’s dakshina of his liking. Sandipani asked for, as his dakshina, the restoration of his child lost in the ocean at Prabhaas. Shrikrishna and Balrama fulfill their Guru dakshina by giving son of Sandipani.
Dronacharya:
Dronacharya with Arjuna and Ekalavya

In the epic Mahabharata, Drona or Dronacharya was the royal guru to Kauravas and Pandavas. He was a master of advanced military arts, including the Devastras. Arjuna was his favorite student. Drona's love for Arjuna was second only to his love for his son Ashwatthama. He was considered to be a partial incarnation of Brihaspati
Arjuna:
Arjuna was the very lovable student of Acharya Drona. Arjuna is the third of the Pandavas and, with Krishna, is considered the hero of Hindu epic Mahabharata. He plays the listener in the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad Gita which is a philosophical conversation between Arjuna and Krishna.
Ekalavya:
This is the story of a long-gone era. In the country of India, nearly five thousand years back, lived a boy named Eklavya, the son of a tribal chief in the forests of the kingdom- Hastinapura. Eklavya was a brave, handsome boy. He was loved by all. But he was not. Ekalvya given his thumb as a gurudakshina to Dronacharya.
And true to Drona's blessing, Eklavya is still praised as the most loyal and brave student in the epic of Mahabharatha.
Krishna : The teacher, philosopher and much more the Ultimate teacher.
Shri Krishna the ultimate teacher

Krishna the Purna Purushottama after getting thousand of marrige still krishna was the great Brahmachari. Krishna the 8th incarnation of Lord Vishnu is not just a divine entity but a whole consciousness. Krishna is the only person in the history of human consciousness who is tremendously in love with life, with the poetry of life, with the music of life, with dance of life. He is not at all life-negative, he is very affirmative. And he accepts life as it is; he does not put god and the world as opposites. When I read Bhagvad Gita or The song Divine it transformed my way of life. We , who do not see Krishna just as a God , see his as a yogi, a philosopher and a teacher. He is the greatest scientist and engineer. Krishna is adored in three different ways: vatsalya bhava, madhura bhava and sakhya bhava.

Guru Parasurama
Parasurama was the great rishi and they finished 21 times all the kshatriyas from the earth. Learning that Parasurama was giving away his fruits of penance to brahmanas, Drona approached him. Unfortunately, by the time Drona arrived, Parasurama had given away all his belongings to other brahmanas. Taking pity upon the plight of Drona, Parasurama decided to impart to Drona his knowledge of combat and gave all his weapons to him.
Chanakya:
ChanakyaChanakya was teacher at the ancient Takshashila University, Chanakya managed the first Maurya emperor Chandragupta's rise to power at a young age. He is widely credited for having played an important role in the establishment of the Maurya Empire, which was the first empire in archaeologically recorded history to rule most of the Indian subcontinent. Chanakya served as the chief advisor to both Chandragupta and his son Bindusara.
Chanakya is traditionally identified as Kautilya or Vishnu Gupta, who authored the ancient Indian political treatise called Arthasastra. As such, he is considered as the pioneer of the field of economics and political science in India, and his work is thought of as an important precursor to Classical Economics. Chanakya is often called the "Indian Machiavelli", although his works predate Machiavelli's by about 1,800 years. His works were lost near the end of the Gupta dynasty and not rediscovered until 1915.
Chandra Gupt:
Chandragupta Maurya was the founder of the Maurya Empire. Chandragupta succeeded in conquering most of the Indian subcontinent. According to some ancient Buddhist texts he claims descent from the Shakya rulers of solar race. Buddhist texts describes about his lineage with the "Moriya" clan of Shakya rulers hence he was the scion of the solar race of Kshatriya's. Having defeated the Greek satrap in the Khyber mountains around 303 BCE, Chandragupta was crowned King at Taxila. As a result, Chandragupta is considered the first unifier of India and its first genuine emperor. In foreign Greek and Latin accounts, Chandragupta is known as Sandrokyptos
Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan:
